Lockdown’s Everest with Jenny close #poweredbyapsu

We have been in awe of the incredible challenges that our Apsu Team Athletes have been setting for themselves over whilst living under the restrictions as a result of the coronavirus.

On 1 August 2020, Jenny Close  completed an incredible personal goal that has blown our minds. Jenny undertook a vEveresting campaign (a virtual climb of Mount Everest on her bike), not just once, but twice in under 24 hours. As if that wasn’t enough, she then kept going and completed 20,000 metres of climbing in a total of 27.5 hours.

In her own words, “That was the toughest thing that I’ve ever done. A brutal mental and physical challenge.”
